Title: Pursuing Global Citizenship through Education for Peace

As a visionary and pioneer in the promotion of education for peace internationally, the Biopolitics International Organisation is participating with a special event in Geneva Peace Week 2017. The event, which is co-organized by 3DlexiaCosmos, seeks to create and highlight the importance of bonds and synergies in peace education by encouraging cooperation between different stakeholders. Policy makers, educators and civil society organizations will present a “thesis” and “antithesis” on key issues concerning global citizenship in order to create a “synthesis” of new values for peace-building around the world. Peace begins with quality education, a powerful tool in transforming communities for global sustainability and prosperity.

Geneva Peace Week offers an opportunity to connect and highlight the work of international actors for peace (NGOs, UN entities, and renowned academic and research institutions), who touch the lives of individuals across the world. It also highlights that peace promotion occurs in many different contexts and cuts across disciplines and sectors. The goal is to expand the space for dialogue about building peace and resolving conflict internationally. For more information, visit http://www.genevapeaceweek.ch/about
